Psychology Department was established in 2013/2014 session to train prospective students in pure and applied psychology in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The department was fully accredited by the NUC visitation panel in October 2019 to train undergraduate and postgraduate students in Psychology.

Admission Requirements: B.Sc. Degree

(i) ‘O’ Level: 5 ‘O’ Level Credits including English Language, Biology and Mathematics and at least two other Social Science subjects from Civic Education, Commerce, Economics, Geography, Government, and Social Studies.

(ii) UTME Subjects: English Language, two Social Science subjects and any other subject from Arts/Science/Social Sciences.

(iii) Direct Entry: At least two ‘A’ Level passes to include two social science subjects such as Business Management, Economics, Geography, Government and Sociology in GCE/IJMBE/JUPEB or equivalent with the exception of NABTEB A-Level and NCE
