Oluwaniyi shines at VICBHE training session on AI

A Professor at the Department of Industrial Chemistry, University of Ilorin, Omolara Olusola Oluwaniyi, has emerged as the best graduating participant of the 13-week online training on Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education for academic and other senior staff of higher institutions in Africa. The training was coordinated by the Virtual Institute for Capacity Building in Higher Education (VICBHE) under the leadership of a former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Peter Okebukola.

The programme, which held between January 22 and April 26, 2024, was jointly sponsored by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and   the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

This was disclosed by the Dean, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Prof. Abdullahi Baba Alafara, in a congratulatory message sent to Prof. Oluwaniyi, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN BULLETIN.

The Dean described Prof. Oluwaniyi’s performance as “truly impressive” and a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion for learning.

He added that the renowned scholar of Industrial Chemistry has demonstrated an exceptional attitude of diligence and commitment to excellence that she has been known for over the years.
